The righteousness of God

If you believe in Jesus Christ and what He has done for us.
And if you have given your life to Him, God has given you His righteousness.
We are just as righteous as God…
That’s something to think about.

Good words

Here are some good words of encouragement from the greatest book in the world (!!!), The Bible (NLT).

Mt.11:28-30
Then Jesus said, "Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke fits perfectly, and the burden I give you is light."

Joh.6:37
However, those the Father has given me will come to me, and I will never reject them.

To encourage

When I went to bible school last year each of the students had to have a 10 min speech about something in front of the class. I choose to speak about why we should encourage each other, because this is something I think is very important, and something people should do more.
So here is the speech:

I am now going to give you 3 good reasons why you should encourage others.

1. Think about your grandmother. Maybe she is sick, or her legs are not like they used to be when she was younger. She might be lonely, does not have the ability to go out of the house as much as before. Then you can give her a call ore pay her a visit. Tell her that you love her, and that she is a grate grandmother. I am sure that she will be so glad, and encouraged. Maybe you made her day ore her week. She might even be so glad that she gives you the entire inheritance ore some cookies (Joke…if you didn’t get that). You will defiantly have a great feeling after. So it’s a blessing to encourage.

2. It’s important to encourage each other.
- Hebrews 3:13 says: “Encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.”
- If we don’t say positive things about each other to each other, how can we know what is good/positive about us?! We see the “negative” things more easier than the positive.
-When we think about something positive about someone, we should say it right away, first chance we have, not hesitate, because then we’ll might forget it.

3. When you urge someone to do something, do it with encouragement.
- When I red about encouraging in the Bible I saw that urging and encouraging was used for the same thing in different translations. Ex. in 1. Thessalonians 3:2.
- When Paul travelled around he encouraged people and strengthened them in their faith. Ex.Acts.20:2.
- Paul often challenged people to encourage and build each other up.
Ex. 1.Thessalonians 5:11: “Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.”
And in Hebrews 10:25: “Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another – and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”
