This translation is a word by word translation. Therefor it is more correct to the original manuscripts. But there is hard words and formulations in this version, so I would recommend to have a meaning for meaning version to reed besides this one. Thing is usually more easy to understand there. I think this version is one of the best English. NIV also comes in a study bible version.
